Prices, Payments and Discounts
I always like it when I can clearly see what people are charging for services, so I am happy to post details of my prices here on my website. That way my customers know what to expect with no hidden extras.
My prices come in 3 different types but all share some things as standard. Here are some examples of the 3 types of pricing and what is included as standard.
Hourly / Daily Rate. This is for general Handyman Work that doesn't fall under the Fixed Price or Quoted work categories. Things like installing Internal Doors, Furniture Assembly, Hanging Blinds & Curtain Poles, Putting things up on walls, general maintenance work etc
My hourly rate is £35 an hour for the time I actually spend doing the job at your property. My Daily rate is at the discounted rate of £230. This makes it a good way to get that list of jobs done in one go!

Fixed Price. These jobs tend to take around the same length of time and require the same from me so I know what I will charge ahead of time. Things like TV Wall Mounting and White Goods installations. Full details are in a section further down this page and you can get to it from this link HERE
Quotes. Certain types of work that I do will vary enormously depending on what is needed for your home. They all need assessing and quoting for individually. This includes things like Installing Kitchens, Replacing Worktops, Replacing Cupboard Doors, Installing Laminate Flooring, Installing Loft Ladders or Loft Boarding etc etc
All of those 3 types of pricing include the same service and things as standard

Costs of my time traveling to and from the job
I include any consumables I may need to use, such as picture hooks, higher quality fixings/fittings, masking tapes, brushes etc within my hourly rate so there are no extra costs for my customers. For example if a TV Wall Mount needs stronger fittings or ones that are suitable for your wall construction then I will provide these at no extra cost.
Please note that things like specialist adhesives or sealants can be £15 - £20 a tube and I'm afraid I can't include that sort of thing in this standard pricing. If I need to use items I will have to charge for then I will make you aware of that
A visit to assess and produce a quote for the job (if needed)
Any time I spend doing specific research on quotes for things such as materials and parts for your job

Fixed Price Jobs
These are the jobs I charge fixed prices for...
Standard TV Wall Mounting for TVs up to 55". This does NOT include the bracket or hiding wires. £55
Standard TV Wall Mounting for TVs between 56" and 100". This does NOT include the bracket or hiding wires. £75
Please note if a TV Wall Mount needs stronger fittings or ones that are suitable for your wall construction then I will provide these at no extra cost.
Standard Installation of a Freestanding Washing Machine or Dishwasher. £35
Standard Installation of an Integrated Washing Machine or Dishwasher. £65
Standard Installation of an Integrated Undercounter Fridge or Freezer. £45
Standard Installation of an Integrated Fridge Freezer (like for like Hinge System) £95
Please note if any White Goods need hardwiring then that is charged at £20 on top of the Standard Installation price listed above.
Payments
If I am purchasing parts/materials/hardware for your job then I may ask you to bank transfer money to cover the costs. For my time and any material/parts costs not already paid for I take payment on the day of the job and accept the following payment methods:
1. Cash
2. Card & Contactless Payments using my phone as a payment service or using a card reader. I can also take Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay this way
3. Bank Transfer
4. I can send a payment link so you can pay via a website like any other online payment.

TV / Wall Mount / Home Theatre / Surround Sound Services Time Guide
TV Stand/Cabinet Assembly varies on the complexity of the job 30 minutes to 2 hours for really complex stands
Install of TV on your stand or table etc, setup of TV and peripherals, demo of it working. 30 minutes
add a Sound Bar with your TV setup is an extra 10-15 minutes
Setting Up Home Theatre / Surround Sound System such as Sonos add 30-45 minutes.
TV Wall Mount Service usually 90 minutes
Suitable TV Bracket for Wall Mount - I can discuss what you need and order it for you or use a bracket you provide.
add a Sound Bar with your TV setup is an extra 10-15 minutes
Setting Up Home Theatre / Surround Sound System such as Sonos add 30-45 minutes.
Wall Mounting Sound Bar usually 20-30 minutes
Suitable Bracket for Sound Bar - I can discuss what you need and order it for you or use a bracket you provide.
If you need any cables such as aerial, optical, HDMI or 4k HDMI I can provide these or use ones you have. I will always make you aware of the extra cost of the parts before I use them.
Job Suitability Survey Service
This service does what it says and is to assess the suitability of jobs BEFORE you spend money on buying things. For a standard fee of £35 I can come to you and discuss what you need and assess the suitability of the walls, locations etc. to determine if the job will be able to go ahead or not.
Wall Mounting and Hanging Services Time Guide
Obviously times will vary given the complexity and size of the job but this will give you an idea…
Curtain Tracks/Poles/blinds are usually 20 - 45 minutes depending on size of window / fixing system needed and is per window. I fit blinds that can take longer such as Bloc Out Blinds.
Installing shelves, pictures, mirrors etc will usually vary between 20 minutes and an hour depending on what is needed for your walls.
Attaching furniture to a wall would normally be 20-45 mins per item for 2 fixing points. I can provide fixings if needed or use ones you provide.
Router and Smart Tech Services Times Guide
Installation of Smart Bulbs and LED strips will depend on how many and complexity of setting the system up. A smart bulb installation that goes smoothly will take 10 minutes. This will require access to your smart phone and possibly to your router settings as well.
Router replacement / moving or installing WiFi solutions will vary on what I am actually doing for you, but costs would normally be replacing a route could be 30 minutes. Relocating a router to another room and wiring that in around the house could be a couple of hours.
Integrated White Goods Services Times Guide
New Integrated Undercounter Fridge or Freezer installation would be an hour.
New Integrated Fridge Freezer (like for like hinge system) installation would be 90 - 120 minutes.
New Integrated Fridge Freezer (changing hinge system) installation Price Arranged for each job depending on what is needed.
New Integrated Washing Machine or Integrated Dishwasher installation would be 90 minutes.
Replacement of Water Isolation Flag valve would normally be £20. Retailers fail installations for this issue.
Hardwiring electrical connection is charged at £30.
Any adjusting and cutting sections in the plinth to ensure doors open correctly is included free of charge as part of the service.
Freestanding White Goods Services Times Guide
New Freestanding Fridge, Freezer or Tumble Dryer installation would be 15 minutes.
New Freestanding Washing Machine or Dishwasher installation would be 30 minutes.
Replacement of Water Isolation Flag valve would normally be £20. Retailers fail installations for this issue.
Hardwiring electrical connection is charged at £30.
If there is a need for extra-long inlet or waste pipes to reach longer than standard lengths I can provide the pipes & joins necessary and I will always make you aware of the extra cost of the parts before I use them.
Assembly Service
Assembly Services can vary a lot so it is best to contact me (HERE) to discuss your requirements and I’ll be able to give you an accurate quote for the time needed to do what you need.
Light Fitting / Ceiling Fan Times Guide
Replacing a ceiling pendant with a new basic light fitting 30 minutes.
More complex pendant light replacements with changes to switching 60 - 90 minutes.
Basic ceiling fan installation 60-90 minutes.
Larger more complex ceiling fans that include lighting as well 2 hours or more.
General Handyman
Painting, Decorating, Flooring and Tiling jobs will vary from house to house and it is best to get me round to measure up and assess what your job will need.
